An alternative to an in-office visit which you can do from your home!
Telehealth & Telemedicine
We have expanded our practice to include telehealth visits to ensure our patients continue to have their healthcare needs met during the COVID-19 pandemic. Telehealth visits allow for real-time, 2-way audiovisual communication between the doctor and patient, similar to FaceTime or Skype but on a secure encrypted, HIPAA compliant online platform. We are using an online telehealth site called doxy.me for these virtual visits. Telehealth visits will be available Monday – Friday during regular business hours. Please call our office at 816-561-3003 to schedule your telehealth visit.
We will bill your insurance as a telehealth visit. Most insurance companies cover this cost as a typical office visit. All standard copays and fees contracted with your insurance company apply. If you have new insurance card information, please let the receptionist know when you book the telehealth appointment.
At the time of your appointment, you will receive either a text message or email with a link to your provider’s doxy.me telehealth account. Then you will be able to log into the provider’s “waiting room”. We also have a link below where you can select your provider’s online “waiting room” connection from a drop down list but you must schedule an appointment prior to visiting the site.
Once you are logged in, please wait for us to log in as well. We should be logging in with you shortly, but may still be with another patient when you first log in, much like in the office. Don’t disconnect – stay logged in – we can see you are there on our end! The benefits to you are that you can work on things at home near your computer while you wait.
