Coronavirus (COVID-19):
Safety is Our Highest Priority

[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner gap=”25″][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]We are continuing to closely monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. For the safety of our patients, visitors and staff during this time, we are taking additional precautionary measures and appreciate your patience and cooperation as we navigate the rapidly evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) situation together.

Before arriving in person at our office, we ask that anyone with a cough, fever or shortness of breath to please call our office to reschedule your appointment for a later date when your symptoms have resolved.

Orthopedic Health of Kansas City is following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations and ask that anyone experiencing any of the above symptoms to not visit our clinics.

We are also requesting that patients only bring one family member or friend with them to appointments/procedures at this time.
We are regularly cleaning and disinfecting our lobby and patient care areas throughout the day to ensure the safety of our patients and staff.

Thank you for your cooperation and assistance.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row equal_height=”yes” css=”.vc_custom_1565743583034{padding-bottom: 35px !important;}”][vc_column width=”2/3″ css=”.vc_custom_1584645292187{margin-bottom: 30px !important;}” offset=”vc_col-lg-9 vc_col-md-8 vc_col-xs-12″ el_class=”paddingDesktopRight”][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1674495322699{padding-top: 60px !important;}”]

Staying Active While Social Distancing

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1584645213751{margin-top: 0px !important;border-top-width: 0px !important;padding-top: 0px !important;}”]While everyone is encouraged to limit trips outside the home, we have a few tips to help you stay active.

  • Find an online resource offering free trials or free fitness plans. A few options:
  • Create a time each day or put reminders on your phone to stop what you’re doing and take a walk either outside or around your house, go up and down steps, or do a few sit ups
  • Only allow yourself to sit in place for 30 minutes at a time
  • Make a rule to increase your heart-rate for 20 or 30 minutes before turning on a screen
  • Track your activity/steps and set daily goals

Figure out what motivates you most and get moving![/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1674495327589{padding-top: 60px !important;}”]

BOTH OHKC WALK-IN Clinics Remain Open

In the case of unexpected orthopedic injuries, OHKC currently has two walk-in/urgent care clinics; one in the new NKC location and the other at the Centerpoint location.

Both urgent care clinics treat walk-in patients from 8am – 8pm Monday thru Friday without requiring an appointment. The NKC location is additionally open on Saturday from 8am – 12pm.

The cost of a visit at our walk-in clinic is the same as an office visit copay making it more economical than a trip to the emergency room.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
